Falmouth Communities and Population

The town of Falmouth is located at latitude 18º30?N and longitude 77º39?W, approximately thirty-three kilometers (33km) east of Montego Bay. It is home to about 8,188 residents and is considered one of the Caribbean’s best-preserved historic towns.

In 2001, the town comprised four (4) communities, namely: Holland, Hague, Martha Brae and the Town Centre. The majority of the town’s population was concentrated north and west of the town in Holland and the Town Centre; with both accounting for approximately 82% of the town’s overall total. Hague, due east and Martha Brae, south, accounted for the remaining 18%.
